Edmonton … ce qui nous a bien sûr le plus marqué en arrivant, c'est de voir la station de ski au milieu de la ville, sur la (seule) colline des environs ! Vraiment super !
Pablo, adorable, nous a conduit (en fait non, c'est Cécile qui conduisait la voiture de Pablo, ce dernier attendant son permis canadien et n'étant pas autorisé à conduire pendant cette période transitoire) dans tous les grands magazins d'équipements et habillages Grand Nord ! La carte bleue a crépité, selon le bon vieux dicton déjà cité dans ces lignes "Je dépense, donc je suis …". Mais nous sommes maintenant équipés de pied en cap, c'est à dire de boots en chapkas …
Je vais profiter de cette "interruption d'hivernage" pour adjoindre de nouvelles photos au blog, mettre à jour le site web, et publier quelques notes que j'avais l'intention d'écrire depuis pas mal de temps déjà, mais qui sont restées congelées ! Entre autre donner des nouvelles du Bateau-Givre et de la résidence d'artistes envisagée. Je ferai cela au rythme paisible de notre vie actuelle.

Edmonton … What stroke us the most when arriving there, was of course to see a ski resort in the middle of the city, on the (only) hill around! Really great!
Pablo, adorable, led us (actually Cécile was driving his car, because he is waiting his Canadian driving license, thus not allowed to drive during this transitional period) in every department store with Arctic stuff and apparel! The credit card warmed, as an old saying already mentioned somewhere in previous lines "I spend, therefore I am …". But we are now equipped from head to toe, ie from chapkas to boots …
I'll take adventage of this "winter break" to add new photos to the blog, update the website, and publish some notes I had intended to write for quite some time now, but that remained frozen! Among other things, I'll give some news from the "Bateau-Givre" (litt. "Frost-Boat" but with a pun on the "Bateau Ivre") the artist-in-residence project planned. I will do that on the peaceful rhythm of our current life.
